One of my most enjoyable moments while exploring the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail area in the Smoky Mountains, was climbing up and down the rocks along the Le Conte Creek, looking for interesting compositions. The juxtaposition of the cool, thick fog, blanketing the forest in silence and the raging, flow of the water, was dramatic. From 150 yards away, there was total silence, but once you were down within the carved pathway of the creek, the forceful water movement, was all encompassing. Although the sounds provided by nature were direct opposites, they both gave you a feeling of solitude and isolation.

Media choice will dramatically change the look of your art print. While reviewing the options, think of the display space and feel you are looking for. Consider art paper for a soft, painterly look, or an acrylic or metal to bring out depth and color.
