This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.
Artist's Description
The area around the Great Smokey Mountains National Park is rich with beautiful little scenes like this one. This scene was painted from sketches and photos taken between Townsend and Cades Cove. All it needs is some bluegrass banjo music to remind you of the moment.
About Duane Barnhart
The translucent quality of watercolor lets the paper reflect light to create an inner glow that gives the painting more life. I enjoy both plein air (painting on location) and working in my studio in Northern Minnesota. I try to capture a sense of presence and a fresh look at the subject. I am a member of the Northstar Watermedia Society and the Minnesota Watercolor Society. My paintings have been in juried exhibits, galleries and private collections throughout the region.
